On Racism

I am a citizen of the world. I stand for non-violence, love and equity, the fair treatment of everyone. Everyone.

Racism is nothing else than fear of the different. Ego driven human beings are frightened of what they do not know: it reactivates their fear of the unknown, this thing we call death.

Bullying, crimes and aggressivity are one of the expressions of that fear. Segregation, the act of separating away from the others is another. Turning a blind eye is a third.

Yes, you recognized the 3 mechanisms we use when faced with a danger: attack, run away or freeze. The reptilian brain mechanisms.

It is time to educate ourselves about each other’s: our source is consciousness and perceiving each other as a danger is absurd.

The Buddhist say that Ignorance is being unaware of our perfection and that ignorance is the source of all suffering.

Martin Luther King Jr. says that “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

Let’s march, yes. But the moment violence becomes an option, then only sorrow and darkness win and we all lose. Only light can dissipate darkness. To know this and to stand in and for love is to be whole.
